I have 2 nephews and their birth dates are 2 days apart. So I do not get confused about who I sent what card to I make their cards very similar, sometimes one is landscape and the other portrait or I use the same layout and different colors. They are both elementary age and I thought a slider card would be fun.
I started with stamping and coloring the fish which are from stamin Up Fishy Friends. The speech bubble is from Lawn Fawns A Birdie Told Me stamp and die cut. The sentiment…don’t remember which stamp set that came from.
The background is Creative Memories water paper. I used my My Favorite Things Die-namics Gift Card Grooves to create the groove for the fish to slide back and forth. I took 2 pennies adhered 2 foam dots to one penny. I placed the paper groove over the penny with the foam dots and then adhered another penny on top. I adhered the fish with a glue dot to the top penny and tested him to make sure he would slide back and forth. I added a torn sheet of sandpaper for the sand and then added my other ocean friends making sure they did not interfere with my sliding fish. Oh and I added Perfect Pearls for the bubbles.
