One tree can start a forest,
One smile can begin a friendship,
One hand can lift a soul,
One word can frame the goal,
One candle can wipe out darkness,
One laugh can conquer gloom,
One hope can raise our spirits,’
And…one choice can change your life.
My name is Annie and I want to be that one person to help brighten your day.
I am a Navy brat that married an Airforce brat, who joined the Army 20 years ago. We have two Army brats of our own. Our military life has allowed us to live on the east coast, the west coast and many different places in between. I have been a stay at home mom and I have been a working mom.
I love being a crafter almost as much as I love my kids ☺ I was introduced to scrapbooking in 2001 and became a demonstrator. I decided to give up the dream of being a demonstrator because I wanted to use other products from other companies. I started stamping in 2003 with a Stampin’ Up demonstrator. After my friend gave up her position as a demonstrator, I started looking into other stamping companies and it reignited my passion for what I love to do. I love to make cards and send them to unexpecting recipients. Many of my friends have asked why I don’t sell the cards I make and my response is the same every time “It takes the fun out of making the card”. There are times I make cards and do not have a certain person in mind, most of those go to my Mom for her to send out in the mail (she keeps some of them).
I am a behind the scenes kind of girl, maybe even a shy girl. I love to do things but don’t take being recognized very well. So I decided to step out of my comfort zone and I joined SplitcoastStampers.com and posted my first project which was Valentine’s Day bags for my daughters friends. I was so overwhelmed when the moderator commented on my project. This encouraged me to keep posting my cards.
Now look at me, I am now blogging about my cards. Sure I started the blog because I wanted to participate in the free giveaways and to give my facebook friends a break from all my card posts. I have grown and overcome some of my fears and that’s what its all about.
